Hey Larry and others:

Just want to say this was my first trip ever into the state of Ohio. Did not know you grew so much corn, thought that was Iowa? Enjoyed the race and did not know the wind blew like this in Ohio either. Lesson learned. You corrected the results in the 12 hour challenge but do we need need to send the information from our bike computers, hear rate monitors, garmins, and/or the actual times and laps as counted by friends/families to document our actual distances? There seemed to be some errors with the timing system and confusion during the awards and the "honor system" seemed to work but we wondered how riders had unusual distances in the 12 hour race .....thought it was a 50 mile loop and a 7 mile loop and then partial laps on your last lap before the 7:30 cut-off time. Love the T-shirt and Jersey! Good Job!!

The wind Friday was 20-30mph, and it rained ALL day Sunday, so we were pretty lucky to have the perfect weather that we had. :-)

Thank You to all for a great organized ride! Unbelievable volunteers!

Learning curves can sometimes be difficult. Next year I am sure the scoring will be figured out.

And while your at fixing things can you do something about that wind?

So challenging and so much fun. Volunteers were unbelievably helpful and gracious. Thank you to them.
One change I'd like to see you add is a traffic person at the end of the fifty just before reaching the high school. I thought it a dangerous intersection easy to get hit especially seeing the goal in sight.
We saw the blessings of the Lord throughout the whole day. Praises to Him.

Well it sure was a experience, this was my 3rd "Calvin's challenge", 2007 I had a heart attack during the first 50 mile loop, I did not know it at that time, just felt bad and quit after the first fifty. I had two "stent" inserted in the arteries.
In 2008 I signed up for the 100 mile time trial,I almost stopped after the first lap, but since it was the 1st year anniversary of my heart attack, I just had to prove it to my self that everything was OK now, so I just pushed on, but it was the worst experience I ever had, except when we escaped from Hungary, while we were under the Russian ruling, and walked all night in the rain and cold (November 1956). I am glad that I did finished the 100 time trial, slow time of 5:57 age 66.
This year (2009) I am going for the 6 hour one, and I know the weather will be perfect.............................
